what i do?

Aside from drinking 3.23 cups of coffee per day, I design and build meaningful web apps and print material that clearly communicate with visitors. I also pretend to be a master musician while pecking on my piano.

User Research / Innovation

Understanding why a user does a specific thing at a specific time or why a customer looks for a certain action in a certain place is the key that can make or break a product. I love listening to the sarcastic rants or blunt comments made by users - I'm here to please

Wireframing, Prototyping, & Front End Dev.

I'm not a carpenter, but I like to blueprint. I'm not outkast, but I like looking at prototypes. I also enjoy drawing pretty flowers, and making those flowers interactive to shoot out missiles with a user click...too much?

Visual & Interaction Design

Milton Glaser said, “There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! ... I shoot for the WoW everytime!

Company Intranet

Every CEO expects their company to grow and expand. And when it does, the personnel and operations of the company can become somewhat stagnant if the communication is lacking. In this case, the company tripled in staff within a few months - and then grew 120% the next few years. You can imagine trying to communicate through messengers and overflowing emails daily, while also manually handling HR duties.

"AL!, We need an Intranet for the company", My manager said. "We need all of our Apps, websites, documents, Calendars, and Help Desk under one roof".
"Ok", I said. "I'll get on it!".

The Research

The Audience

Salesman, Officers, Help Desk, oh my!
Closers, underwriters, realtors, no problem.
Managers, HR, IT...

Why

Information NON-distribution can Kill a company. If ONE team member is out of the loop, money could be lost. Having a centralized location to communicate can save tons of time, and time is money.

Benefits

Most people, if not all - Love automated processes. Company manuals and documents are easily accessible, paperless forms save time, and company engagement are keys to success.
